Hello, lovely people!
Today I wanted to share this little drying rack I made over the weekend:
I made it to dry flowers for craft stuff, but it’d also work as a herb drying rack for the kitchen.
- A branch. I chose a branch that was a bit curvy to aid air circulation, which helps the flowers dry out nicely.
- Thick rope. I used jute rope, but sisal rope would work as well.
- Jute twine.
- Freshly picked flowers.
To begin, I used a standard knot to tie the jute rope to the end of the branch, leaving a little ‘tail’ free.
I then wrapped jute twine around the rope and the ‘tail’. I tied a few knots in the twine as I went to make sure it wasn’t going to fall apart after a minute.
I then did the same thing on the other side of the branch.
With the flower drying rack finished, I tied my bundles of flowers to the branch. I left a little bit of space in between bunches to allow air to circulate freely as the flowers dried.
And that was pretty much it.
